Meesho pays three different amounts for the same video

This catches more creators than anything else on this page. Meesho does not have one rate. It has three, and which one you get depends on what the buyer does after they tap your link.

The % printed on a Meesho listing is the same-item rate — the top row. A listing tagged “0% commission” is not in the affiliate catalogue: filming it is unpaid work. Until 14 September 2026 that tier paid 0.5%. Now it pays nothing.

The whole thing in one rule

Four traps

The middleman can cost you 7%

Flipkart pays 8% on its own card and about 1% through a network. Amazon pays 10% direct against about 8% through one. Same video, same sale, a third of the money.

A follower gate may not be the shop’s

“1,000 followers for Flipkart” is a network’s rule, not Flipkart’s. Meesho’s supposed 10,000-follower gate appears nowhere on Meesho’s own site — signup is a phone number and an OTP.

The highest rate is not the most money

40% of a ₹300 kurti is ₹120. 5% of a ₹6,000 mixer is ₹300. And returns are worst in exactly the categories that pay most. Rate, price and returns together — never one alone.

Rates change without notice

Flipkart says so in writing, and Meesho proved it this month. Every figure here carries the date it was read. If that date is old, open the card yourself before you shoot.

Knowing the rate is the easy half

The hard half is the video that makes someone tap. That is what the UGC course is: how to shoot it on the phone you own, how to get brands to send you products, and how to get paid for it in India.
